Smart Media: A new tool for Disneyland Paris guests

Before the deployment of the project 'smart media', a family of four people staying in a Disney hotel for three nights used to receive 48 documentary evidences papers at the time of it's check-in. A dizzying figure which affects the guests’ quality of experience and the Cast Members’ missions.

It is in order to improve this situation that the Disneyland Paris Technology teams worked during several months on the deployment of the project 'smart media' at, which will be implanted in two stages.

From April, the visitors who choose to activate the 'Hotel Charge' option during their stay will be given a contactless card using the RFID technology: this card will serve as means of payment and will also be the support of the visual controls made in the entrance of zones reserved for the residents of hotels.

Disneyland Paris considers displaying this new support in 2017 to all the 'individual' residents of Disney hotels and partners with additional features because it could replace the coupons meal and drink but also the tickets for the Disney parks and for The Legend of Buffalo Bill with Mickey and his Friends! Dinner-show.

The RFID 'smart media' card will be rolled out at Hotel New York first.
